Monet’s Garden near Paris, France

The little road to the gardens…
Here we found a quintessential special place where you feel like you have stepped back in time and entered into a dimension of bliss! Being handicapped we could have stayed home…but instead we took the risk, and in spite of our disabilities were so blessed to experience such beauty in life… The staff was all very helpful and handicap friendly. The terrain was natural, and therefore the pathways were dirt and gravel…but our faithful Luggie’s navigated and handled it all so well. Lots of parking available, including handicapped. We have found our USA handicap plaque works perfectly abroad. We spent hours here…absorbed by the amazing setting…while photographing all the glorious flowers in the gardens and the incredible pond and bridges. Even the rain was delightful, refreshing, and fortunately very short lived…leaving radiant raindrops on every flower! Claude Monet’s house and gardens at Giverny, France, (1 hour 15 minutes from Paris) is open daily from 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. from March 28th to November 1st, 2015. Adult admission is 10.20 euros. Tickets can be bought online. There are two parts in Monet’s garden: a flower garden called Clos Normand in front of the house and a Japanese inspired water garden on the other side of the road. The staff anticipated our needs and was more than helpful making sure we got safely over the road between each garden.
